About This Practitioner

I began my journey in Counselling and Social Work in the late 1990s. Over time, I’ve developed a deep focus on wellbeing, mental health, and disability, working with people across all ages and stages of life.

I work in private practice, within counselling services, and offer Employee Assistance Program (EAP) support. Above all, I bring a skilled and compassionate presence to every person I work with.

Life has offered me a rich tapestry of lived experience, including eleven years overseas, which deepens my empathy and perspective as a practitioner.

Outside of my counselling practice, I love family history, travel, anthropology, photography, painting, sketching, gardening, animals, and the natural environment. I also have an appreciation for architecture—both in the built environment and the landscape. These interests keep me curious, grounded, and connected.

Other Expertise

As a Senior Social Worker and Counsellor, I draw on a range of training to best support each person. My expertise includes EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing), BSP (Brainspotting), EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), MR (Matrix Reimprinting), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also incorporate relaxation strategies such as breathwork, meditation and other mindfulness techniques, along with skills training and psycho-education. Above all, I use these tools flexibly and compassionately in service of what you need.
