Hi! I’m Jacqui Sansom, an Advanced EFT & Matrix Re-imprinting Practitioner, Executive Business Coach and Health Coach, Neuroscience Coach, Relationship Coach, Clinical Hypnotherapist and NLP Practitioner, with a trauma-informed approach to my work.
Before moving into coaching and therapeutic practice, I spent 28 years working in the legal profession as a family lawyer and for the last 16 years as a specialised childcare lawyer. I understand first-hand what it means to work in demanding, high-pressure environments where you are expected to remain capable, composed and professional, regardless of what may be happening internally or in your personal life.
Today, I work primarily with professionals, executives, business owners and other high-functioning individuals who may appear to be coping well on the outside but privately feel overwhelmed, exhausted, stuck or disconnected from themselves.
My approach is warm, practical and non-judgemental. I provide a confidential space in which people can understand what may be driving their thoughts, feelings and behavioural patterns, while learning practical ways to create meaningful and sustainable change.
My professional training spans coaching, neuroscience, health and wellbeing, relationships, hypnotherapy, NLP and trauma-informed practice together with a wealth of transferable skills from my legal career advocating for people.
My qualifications and professional training include:
• EFTMR Advanced Practitioner with EFTMR Academy
• Executive Business Coaching ILM7
• Health Coaching - Lifestyle Prescriptions
• Neuroscience Coaching
• Relational Life Therapy with Terry Real
• Clinical Hypnotherapy and Counselling Skills with ASCH
• Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) with Richard Bandler
• Trauma-informed Stabilisation Therapy with Dr Janina Fisher
• Fundamentals of Attachment with Dr Diane Poole-Heller
This combination allows me to bring together evidence-informed coaching approaches, an understanding of the nervous system and human behaviour, and substantial real-world experience of working within highly pressured professional environments.
I believe that what we experience as adults rarely exists in isolation. The way we respond to pressure, relationships, conflict, responsibility and expectations can be influenced by experiences, beliefs and coping strategies developed much earlier in life.
Patterns such as perfectionism, people-pleasing, overworking, difficulty setting boundaries, hyper-independence or feeling responsible for everybody else can be extraordinarily effective survival and success strategies. The difficulty arises when the strategy that once helped us begins to cost us our health, relationships, energy or sense of self.
My work is therefore not simply about helping someone "cope better". I am interested in helping people understand what sits underneath the pattern.
Using an integrative approach, we can explore the relationship between thoughts, emotions, beliefs, learned behaviours, stress responses and the nervous system. Where appropriate, I draw upon EFTMR alongside coaching, neuroscience-informed approaches, hypnotherapy, NLP and other techniques within my professional training.
I work collaboratively and at a pace that feels appropriate for the individual. You remain in control of what you choose to explore. There is no expectation that you disclose or revisit experiences before you feel ready to do so.
My aim is to create a space that feels confidential, compassionate and psychologically safe, while also being practical and focused on change. Understanding why something is happening is valuable, but I also want clients to leave with greater awareness, choice and practical ways of responding differently and move forward without the shackles of the past.
A significant area of my work is chronic stress, burnout prevention and recovery, particularly among executives, business owners, lawyers and other professionals working within demanding or high-responsibility environments. However, my practice is not limited to workplace-related issues or professional clients.
I work with people experiencing a wide range of personal and emotional challenges, including relationship difficulties, chronic stress and overwhelm, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, low self-worth, limiting beliefs and recurring patterns of behaviour that may be affecting their wellbeing, relationships or quality of life.
I also work from a trauma-informed perspective with clients who are experiencing the ongoing effects of trauma, including those who may have a diagnosis of PTSD or Complex PTSD (CPTSD). This can include difficulties with emotional regulation, relationships, boundaries, hypervigilance, stress responses, self-belief and patterns that developed as ways of coping with earlier experiences.
My approach recognises that the issue someone presents with is not always the whole story. Stress, burnout, relationship difficulties and repeated behavioural or emotional patterns can sometimes be interconnected. Rather than simply focusing on the presenting symptom, I help clients explore what may be sitting underneath it, understand the patterns that are keeping them stuck and develop healthier, more sustainable ways of responding.
I have particular experience working with issues including:
• Chronic stress and overwhelm
• Burnout prevention and recovery
• Perfectionism and high-achievement patterns
• People-pleasing and difficulty establishing boundaries
• Overworking and workaholic behaviours
• Loss of confidence and self-belief
• Limiting beliefs and recurring behavioural patterns
• Emotional regulation and nervous-system awareness
• Relationship and attachment patterns
• Managing demanding careers alongside personal and family life
• Identity, self-worth and the relationship between achievement and personal value
• Building resilience without simply expecting yourself to tolerate more
My work is particularly suited to people who are accustomed to being the capable one, the person others depend upon, and who may find it difficult to acknowledge when they themselves need support.
Ultimately, my work is about helping people understand themselves more deeply, release patterns that are no longer serving them and develop healthier ways of living, working and relating, without losing the ambition, capability or qualities that have helped them succeed.
